Kow Low is renowned for its authentic Hong Kong-style wan tan mee . It serves thin, springy egg noodles that absorb the umami-rich soy-based sauce in the dry version. Alternatively, the soup version comes with a flavorful broth.

Instead of the usual soy sauce and dark soy sauce, they use the braised sauce thus there’re small pieces of mushrooms. The noodle has just the right texture, doesn’t have the strong alkaline taste. The char siew is nice and tender.

Good Food, But Service Could Be Improved We had lunch at Kow Low Wantan Mee earlier today. The food was delicious and definitely lived up to its reputation. The wantan mee was flavorful and well-prepared — we really enjoyed the meal.

I came here specifically on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year to eat this wonton noodle shop. The noodles were delicious with a unique texture. The wontons were generously filled.

Fried wonton! Must-try. We had 10 between the 2 of us during the meal and packed another 10 for our drive back to KL. Wished we packed more. Noodles were thinner and chewier compared to the KL ones, was nice but not too extraordinary.

The wantan mee was good, though a bit less salty for my taste. The soup was great, and the wantan was packed with shrimp and really flavorful. We also ordered fried wantan — also good.

One of the best HK style wanton noodle soup you can find in northern Peninsular. The true and correct way wanton noodle should be made and served. The roast pork may be very small in portion, it is superbly delicious.
