Mr Hubby dah makan di gerai ini sedari dari dia kecil lagi tau3, dan saya mula terjebak bersama pabila tangkap cintan cintun dengan Mr Hubby la kan3. Rasanya dalam tahun 2009 macam tu. Boleh dikatakan tiap-tiap minggu mesti pi pekena makanan dekat situ.

The smell of laksa gravy wafting from Mamu’s Laksa stall reminded me of my childhood. It was the smell of a charcoal burner, heating up a big Indian aluminum vat at Jual Murah (Penang Bazaar).

I liked this assam laksa because the flavors are more balanced than some others I have tried. Some other shops are too sour or too sweet. This one still has the tamarind tartness but it isn't overpowering. And it's not too sweet.

We landed in Penang today and immediately headed to Mr. Ibrahim's laksa stand. We'd seen it in a YouTube video by Mark Wiens, who recommended the laksa.

Extremely well flavoured fish-broth laksa which perfectly combines the light seafood umami from the fish with herbs pineapples and spices for a pleasant heart-warming bowl.

Laksa mamu is more or less asam laksa chinese style. The thick broth is quite flavorful. The soft boiled eggs are really good with the taste. The price and portion are very reasonable.

The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming – I've never met such a kind Malay person! It has a very Malaysian feel, and the food is delicious. Everyone should come!

Extremely nice uncle runs the stall and makes some of the best laksa I ever had. Worth the visit.
