One of the most memorable food discoveries from our Ipoh trip! We first visited during a long public holiday, only to find out that all the Xiang Bing (香饼) had been sold out through pre-orders.

This was my first time here, and the first time I'd ever bought freshly baked, piping hot sesame cakes instead of the packaged kind sold in touristy souvenir shops. A very satisfying experience!

Heard so much about this place so we dropped by. The experience was excellent as the pastry chef had just started to spritz the oven with water to cool it down.

Traditional heong peah, fired by coconut husk in brick oven. So tasty and fresh from the oven, literally.. don’t think I can find this anywhere else. The owners are so friendly and we took so many photos and videos.

Interesting to eat the 香饼， after 1 hour cooling off the well oven . Gooyee Good taste and you can taste the coconut fired husk. A place for experiencing how traditional biscuits are made. Simple place.

We drive by to visit [I Xiang] to see how traditional biscuits we've eaten our entire lives without ever having seen how it's been made! The pong peah was absolutely delicious!

5/11/25 - One packet of 8 pieces for RM10. The size is quite big compared to other shops. The skin is quite thick. It has a powdery feel and isn't very fragrant.

Biscuits freshly made directly behind the simple shop. Using conventional oven which is rare. Lots of varieties to choose from. Free parking in front of the shop.

The Beh teh Soh / heong peah was freshly bake , delicious and its about 15 mins drive from Ipoh town. You can see how the owner bake the biscuits as well.
