I would categorize Chulia Steet as one of the street filled with awesome food. The kochabi style of chicken rice, nested in this humble corner coffee shop since the year 1965. It is located opposite of famous Wai Kee Char Siew Rice and Goh Thew Chik Hainan Chicken Rice .

This is a restaurant run by a very kind owner. I used to frequent a chicken rice restaurant near Komtar, but it had moved and I couldn't find it. While walking around town, I came across this place and it looked delicious, so I went in.

The Hainanese chicken and sauce were delicious, and the owner was very welcoming, even offering to cut some side dishes for me 😂 The restaurant also included information about various tourist attractions. It's a place locals frequent!

Super friendly boss and lady boss, from the moment we alighted from the cab, before even stepping into the shop. Roasted chicken was unique, slightly sweeter than the Singapore version, and we were lucky enough to get some crispy pieces…

Lovely food and very nice owners. Don't really need a menu. Just asked for chicken rice and it only cost 10 RM. Drink was another 4 RM for a ice lemon tea. All fresh and delicious. Will come back for sure

Delicious chicken rice with generous portions. The shop is clean and welcoming, service is attentive, and the boss is very friendly — makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended for both the food and the hospitality!
