This one flies under the radar but deserves to be on every Penang food list. Tanjung Tokong locals know Kokokay serves one of the most balanced plates around. The poached chicken is juicy.

Went to Kompleks Desiran Tanjung for Kokokay Authentic Chicken Rice. I have visited this food court many times and there is always a queue. Today since it’s a short queue when i reached, no problem to wait just 4 persons ahead of me.

The best hainanese chicken rice in town. Ample of parking space here so it is pretty convenient. The rice is fragrant, chilli is tasty, the chicken is so tender. The only downside is the queue grows longer as you get closer to lunch time.

Nestled inside ‘Komplex Desiran Tanjung,’ this chicken rice stall is renowned for serving one of the finest and most reasonably priced chicken rice on the island. Parking at the location is fairly easy, adding to the convenience.

My favourite Hainan chicken rice in Penang!! So so good.. the chicken, the fragrant of the rice and their chicken soup!!! 😭👏 This is my go to whenever I have work near the area! Those photos shows over a period of time. 👍👍

This Chicken Rice shop often has long queue around the lunch time. Now I can confirm that it is indeed special. The chicken is tender and the rice is very very very tasty.

I've been to several Penang chicken rice restaurants, but this one doesn't serve grilled chicken, it's steamed. It's tender and delicious, making it perfect for kids. The soup that comes with it is also great.

Owner of the shop was friendly. Chicken rice was great and better than many chicken rice shops in Singapore! I ate there twice during the same trip in Penang.

Good chicken rice. Moist chicken. Flavorful rice. Good tasting soup. Nice spice in the chilli sauce. We almost missed it as they were almost out of the chicken when we got there but we made the cut and got our two plates. Yummy.
