I like this place better than the famous hawker centers. It's a local hangout, comfortable, affordable, and simple. During our trip, my husband and I had breakfast every morning while taking a walk.

Mount Erskine have morning wet market here..They have fishs and sea food, meat, vegetables and many more... Etc.. Mostly ,l'm here for dinner. They have many local variety foods to choose from..... Most of them are nice and yummy......

It is a small market. Like all markets, they have fish, chicken and pork stalls. There were vegetables and fruits as well. Apart from that, there were also food stalls.

Only go there to have kuey teow thng whose stall is manned by an elderly couple facing the open space. Their broth soup taste sweet and balanced with kochabi taste. Price is decent as it is hard to get food nowadays at RM5 in Penang island.

They want to make money but don't want to feed people. Food portions are getting smaller and smaller. Locals are becoming like tourists. Sigh. Before, one packet of noodles was enough to fill me up. Now, do I have to eat two bowls?

Absolutely great market. Meat and veggies better quality and cheaper than the supermarket. Fabulous food stalls - curry me is my fave. Also places to buy garments etc
