The stall by N. H. Teoh attracted a loyal following not only for its char hor fun, but also other stir-fried noodles. In Penang, char hor fun is also known as char tua pan (stir-fried flat rice noodle).

At the intersection between Lebuh Melayu and Lebuh Pantai, we sort of intrigued by the crowds around these two hawker stalls at the nameless corner coffee shop. We made ourselves to try them out during one of our dating night and we are delighted with what we found.

Good char hor fun with plenty of flavor. The setup is a bit different, food is served outside while drinks and bread are sold inside the café. However the noodles can be brought inside.

Revisited 28-Aug Hokkien char price now was RM9 Char horfun price now was RM10 -------------- Hokkien char was delicious especially mix with the sambal provided. 2 medium large prawn, 1 slice of fish, few slices of pork and vege at RM7.

One of the best "char hor fun" or "tuah pan" I ever had on Penang island. Looks very simple but trust me the "wok hei" is there. Best part is they have fish added in which you won't find in other "char hor fun" usually.

Penang. Likely the best “wat dan hor” (egg gravy over fried flat noodles) in Penang. What is outstanding is the very smoky “wok hei” and the fresh seafood ingredients.

Full of wok hei Char hor fun! You can really taste the fragrance in every bite. Cooked by uncle with real skill. Very delicious and satisfying!

This fried flat noodles was delicious! Although I ordered flat noodles, it also included rice vermicelli. The portion wasn't large, but the ingredients were plentiful, including fish slices, prawns, and sliced meat.

RM10 per plate of Char Hor Fun, including two big prawns and a small slice of fish. Tasted average, not bad but definitely not the best in town.
