Pek Kong Cheng (伯公埕) The 2023 restoration has transformed this heritage site from a gritty market into a heritage curation. A cleaner, high-ceilinged environment that respects the 138-year-old Tua Pek Kong Temple.

Visited Pek Kong Cheng (伯公埕) during Chinese New Year, so the whole place was filled with red lanterns and festive decorations. The atmosphere felt lively especially the food stalls are just next to it but it is still peaceful.

Besides the temple, there are many food options available, including food stalls, cafe-like areas, and places selling things like tofu pudding and cheese tarts. It's best to bring a small fan and a folding umbrella, just in case.

Good to see the place thriving again with newly constructed facilities. Could have more tables and chairs as it can get rather crowded. The rojak, topped with a generous serving of peanuts, seems to be one of the crowd favourites.

This spicy noodle dish is so addictive! The stall is located at the very end. It's incredibly delicious, and most importantly, not oily at all! ❤️😍

I was there after a 20KM cycling. Found a new breakfast spot owned by Ambik and wife which served delicious egg tosai and simple nasi lemak.
