The synonym of Penang Island as a food heaven is well reflected at this Relau 88 Laksa which concealed within a garden shop. It strengthens the claims of food heaven as almost every corner of Penang can be turned into an eatery.

Relau 88 is nestled inside a little oasis where plants are everywhere, literally from top to bottom. He offered to take us here saying that it's a local favourite as far as Asam Laksa is concerned. We expected a small bowl ala Penang-style.

Relau 88 Laksa is one good secret, the Assam Laksa stall housed within a garden supply shop at a corner house along Jalan Paya Terubong at Relau has been serving pleasurable Assam Laksa for months.

As we enter, I straight walked to the lady and said I want laksa. Before I said how many bowls, the friendly male boss apologised and said no more liao! And then that last bowl taste really good!

The eatery is tucked away in a lush, green setting, surrounded by plants and flowers that provide plenty of shade and a calming, garden-like atmosphere.

In short, highly recommended. The laksa is very nice, tasty. I also ordered the curry chicken bread, very nice, must try. For drink, the ice kacang and cendol also nice. The staff there is nice.

Cozy serene environment with lots of plants. Situated at the junction of the traffic light where car parking will be challenging. That laksa had kochabi taste, soup not too thick or diluted.

First time come here to try Penang Laksa. Unfortunately the problem laid on laksa soup, too much watery and tasteless. Popiah so-so. But the fruit drink tastes like natural fruit free of sugar that is good.

Taste good, but the portion of the food is super small. The small portion is even smaller than other's small portion. There are plants around there, so will have mosquito. Need to park beside the street.

The laksa soup is too bland and diluted , minimum amount of shredded fish meat and in my opinion it doesn't taste like laksa at all lol..not recommended
