Well, alot of outstation folks come here to hunt for one item, particularly one food stall which is the famous Old Green house Hokkien Mee (prawn noodle) that is known to many travelers.

Old Green House Restaurant is one of those late-night Penang staples that does exactly what you want it to do—solid, no-frills comfort food that hits the spot.

I ate Fujian noodles at Green House Prawn Mee & Loh Mee, which was selected for the Michelin Guide in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The soup had a rich shrimp broth flavor, and the slight sweetness added to its depth of flavor.

Grew up eating this, also glad the Hokkien mee soup is back to its usual quality this round. Hokkien mee stall packs up by 1130pm or so. Steamed chicken at the porridge stall has also been pretty consistently good!
