The char kuay teow at Wahong Café is said to be one of the best in Penang. The char kuay teow is slightly on the saucy side, and the duck egg gives it a creamy texture and flavour.

This is famous senget Char Koay Teow One Corner at Wahong Cafe. This famous ckt is another version of Penang ckt. It is more on creamy part which is quite similar to the ah leng ckt of the old days at a Kopitiam opposite the penang penjara.

This is one of my favourite CKT in Penang. Have been eating here since about 8-9 years ago, back then only RM5.50 a plate. Now in April 2026 it's RM8.00 a plate. The CKT is on the wet side but full of taste and wok hei.

You'll be served only half plate of char Kueh teow 😂! And if you order extra prawns, there'll be more prawns than Kueh teow. RM 15 for this plate with Five succulent prawns.

This coffee shop is most famous for its "half-plate fried kway teow"! 😋 Each time it's served, the fried kway teow is cleverly placed on one side of the plate. The portion is a bit small, but it's just right for me—not too filling.

Fried koay teow was perfectly done. With wok hei, so aromatic and every inch was well fried. Highly recommended. Waiting time was 45 minutes in saturday morning 9am. RM8 per small serving with egg. Serving size was a bit too little.

🍳 The char kway teow here is superb—on par with some of the most famous stalls in Penang Island. Rich in wok hei, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. There’s usually a wait, but as they say, good things take time.

This kopitiam was recommended by my local born Penang girlfriend , not much tourist here as it’s far from town . Hokkien noodle intense flavor 👍🏻, char kuey teow though it looks pathetic but it taste great 👍🏻

This Char kuey teow is quite unique as they also position the noodlea at one side of the plate. Noodles has got enuf wok hei, prawns was super fresh however I think its a bit on the salty side for me. Overall good.
