At Ah Loi, there was absolutely no gap to fill, the crunch in every spoonful of the sprouts was relished ... the poached chicken at Ah Loi was indeed above our expectations.

There's no service here. The auntie is very fierce, and has no sense of what service is. They will always serve those takeaways first, and will let you sit there wondering around. Whenever you ask, get ready to get rude treatment.

The evening started with the dreaded drive into town in anticipation of parking far away and walking only be greeted by a long lineup just to eat Ipoh's famous 芽菜雞 at one of the popular restaurants.

2025.07- The sauce was quite delicious, and the chicken itself was very tender. The best part was the plump bean sprouts. The owner's attitude was really bad; she was very impatient with tourists who didn't speak the language.

I find it hard to understand why locals tolerate the lady boss's rudeness and the slow ordering system. The soup feels overpowering, the taugey is mediocre-so why is there still a queue?

Over rated. Was attracted by the crowd but end up is turtle service. Only 1 guy doing the job: take order, prepare the food. Other 2 is just watching. No system. Food is average. Can come to try if u havent. The ladyboss attitude is bad.

That cat would jump onto chairs and run around behind customers. It was disgusting and scratched people; no one called for water for half an hour.

The chicken was economical and tender, quite tasty, but the rice was just average.
