We headed for this Yong Tau Fu Stall and start picking the selected fried items into a basket. The queue for Choong Kee was long but fast clearing with the teamwork and efficiency of the staff.

The must-order here is their excellent fried turnip. Imagine a very good, crunchy & sweet version of fried radish, but better. There's close to a dozen different ingredients to choose from, with the price clearly stated on the billboard…

Choong Kee Pokok Besar Restaurant has a well-deserved reputation for its Yong Tau Foo (YTF), and though I couldn't go out for lunch, my friends (Chiefeaters Joseph Chan and GIJoe) brought some back for me.

My wife and I decided to have yong tau foo for lunch. The yong tau foo stall also sells assam laksa and koay teow soup, so we also ordered those. All the items were very tasty.
