Mother & Son Wonton Mee at Chulia street : the pop-up street food stalls at Chulia street serve some of the most comforting wonton mee! The dumplings are really juicy and the noodles are soft and velvety.

However, if you’re heading up to Penang for a food trip (what kinda other trip would you have to Penang anyway?), this Chulia Street wantan mee stall is definitely worth checking out.

Operating for over 40 years, this is one of the best stalls to have wantan mee. Best in Penang, and definitely one of the best in Malaysia. The whole plate is just too good – the noodles, char siew and the wantan.

The second Wantan Mee stall, that I reckon for most Penangites need no introduction, is located on Chulia Street. The attraction here, is the texture of the noodles.
