This is my favourite Malaysian snack of all time. So when I heard we were going to Ipoh again for the weekend, I always stop by at this establishment before departing for JB to buy 5 packets of heong peah to bring home.

Hidden inside an old-fashioned wooden house is this bakery. When I arrived, the fragrant biscuits were being packed up, still warm. The triangular biscuits are a taste of my childhood, so delicious. The biscuits were very fresh and crispy.

Decided to check out the shop for Heong Piah (Ma ti su) and tau sar piah. Bought 1 packet each to try out back at hotel. After tasting it, we find that it is far superior in terms of crispiness and smoky taste of the other Establishments.

Came at about 12+ and there was no more baking. Should come between 9-10 am to see that. The Heong Peah is more fragrant than those in town but equivalent to the freshly baked ones from Ming Ann at Yong Peng

Very old school authentic Heong Peah. Used coconut husk to baked. Freshly baked with superb fragrance maltose. No 1 Heong Peah in Ipoh. A must try when arrive in Ipoh. Recommended.
