If you visiting Chew Jetty and thinking whether you could have a snack around, then look no where else other than Lam Ah Kopitiam where you can get good Oh Chien (Oyster omelette) and beef noodle.

While Taiwan has its own thick sweetish kind, and Thailand a crisper version, I still enjoy Penang’s Oh Chien – potato starch fried with eggs and oysters.

Ordered a large plate (RM10) to try and I liked it better than the version at Seng Thor . The egg batter is crispy – almost like fritters, while the oysters were justly cooked, moist and bursting with flavour.

The place for crispy Oh Chien is in Lam Ah Coffeeshop at the intersection of Beach and Chulia Street, opposite the Lebuh Pantai fire station (Bomba).
