It's hard to find koay kak, so I'm very happy that they are here. The guys running the stall are impressively calm despite the pressure from the queue of customers.

In my opinion, this is the best char koay kak I ever had, full of char flavor with chewy raddish cake. The stall is located in a wet market. Try to come early before the market is too crowded.

The vendor deliberately stalls for a long time, selling ordinary food at a snail's pace. This is a common trick for small vendors to attract customers; they rely on increased foot traffic in the surrounding area.

This might be my favorite Char Kway Kak in Penang (hopefully that's the correct label). He's a hawker in the food area outside Chowrasta Market. Eat it with duck eggs, and enjoy…one of the best breakfasts in Penang.

It tastes so good, just like when I was a kid. The dough is so soft, the coffee is okay, overall it's perfectly balanced and it's cheap too. I recommend it to anyone visiting Penang; wake up early and try it, it's truly amazing.

I remember it used to be good, but this time it is almost useless and I need to rely on choypou for some saltiness. Maybe they forgot the salt.
