Was looking for something else but settled on this. On a Monday morning, it was queue-less. Owner said 100+yr old recipe and will maintain for tradition sake. The Guilinggao doesn’t seem like it, (not bitter). Seems more like cincau.

I visited Curry Keng in Ipoh, in December 2024. This is a local gem! ✨ I enjoyed a delicious bowl of Ipoh Soup Curry Mee with tender chicken, crispy Siew Yuk, and sweet Char Siew. The broth was flavorful, and the service was excellent.

This is a little hidden gem I found in Ipoh. It is located nearer to the bridge and away from the busy strips of the tourist area. Hosted by a couple and just a helper, the pace of the shop seems to blend in well with the quiet surrounding.

I happened to park right in front, and its vintage décor and 70s–80s songs immediately caught my attention. The atmosphere reminded me of home, as my place has a similar vibe—haha, it truly felt like coming home.

The kai si hor fun had a peppery and milky texture which was so delicious - I had it till the last drop. The curry mee was also exceptional - it has a fragrant herb taste. Cockels were big and juicy.

Super great fun place wonderful food made all the more special by the two owners. The husband and the wife have very good English and she explained everything in detail. We were after curry mee and we were put onto this place by a local.

Reached on wkend morning, quiet and greeted by the friendly lady boss to take order. Happily waited for the curry noodle with sihams! Tasted ok but mum said the sihams not that fresh. Kopi was ok.

We were lost and then stopped at curry keng. Wow the shop has great drinks. We had 龟苓膏with coffee. Barley drinks from Korea were tasty! U must not miss this restaurant. Very clean environment and is very hugh in cleanliness.

Came here randomly because I had a late breakfast today. Love their soft yellow noodle and the curry is very strong without using a lot of spicy flavour. High recommend if you like non-spicy curry mee

Curry mee taste ok for me Dry mee = RM6 Curry mee with roasted pork = RM9 Curry mee with roasted port + ham = RM14 prices reasonable for me

Good curry noodles and amazing pork lard rice that transports one to memories of childhood. The owner is very friendly. No air-conditioning but the shop is well ventilated and clean
