Prawn fritters and meat rolls (aka lor bak for the Penangites) are a staple street food snack which can be found in most places within the island side of the state. And a lot of them are pretty good.

At the mention loh bak, Tan Jetty comes to mind. rif and I bumped into Criz in Penang after lunch at Ka Bee when he told us about this prawn fritters and loh bak place at Tan Jetty, just down the road.

I have discovered one which serves pretty good fritters in Weld Quay area. If you are not staying in vicinity, you might have problems in locating the stall as it is not situated by the main road.

Nice snack to power up while walking through the clan jetties. The lor bak filling is chunky and generous, the prawn fritters was still crispy even after being aired; great taste.

Delicious and affordable, highly recommended! The shrimp were fried crispy and fragrant, and the pork rolls were generously sized and delicious. The accompanying sauce was sweet and sour, and it was a great way to relieve the greasiness!
