After a 40 minute drive zipping through hilly roads (and trying not to be carsick), I found myself crossing a bridge to the stall located right next to the fishermen’s boats.

Located at Balik Kampung Café at Balik Pulau. This stall is famous for the fried rice noodles (Hor Fun). The stall is inside a old school style coffee shop. The fried noodles is topped seafood, gee and vegetable gravy.

Good find. Very unique Fried Hor Fun, never seen before in other parts of Penang. Ordered the omelette from a different stall, also extremely tasty, might be too oily for some. Parking by the road side.

Very authentic local food. The fried rice noodles were average in taste, but the texture was unique. The drinks were all large cups; I recommend the "Tiger Bites Lion" (a popular Chinese drink). The fried chicken was also good, very juicy.

One of the very few eating place early morning open before 10am (according to google), I came here basically due to no other option. The environment is typical, but for tourist maybe it’s something worth the experience.

The hor fun do look cute and crispy after being fried, something I haven’t seen before, so the appearance is quite special. But taste-wise, it’s pretty much like regular hor fun. Honestly, not too impressed.

Their specialty is fried hor fun - the taste is a bit bland as it is deep fried resulting in lack of wok hei. The gravy is delicious but feels insufficient to soften the noodles.

The fried rice noodles taste like fried wonton wrappers; they can get greasy if you eat too much. There are many seats available. The fried shrimp cakes are delicious.

The service was terrible, the food was bad, and the shrimp were tiny. Even though there weren't many customers, we still waited 20 minutes.
