So on my partner's suggestion, it was dinner at CRC Chinese Restaurant.
One unique dish was a version of too tor thng (pig stomach soup) where a chicken is stuffed into pig's stomach and boiled in soup.

Chinese Recreation Club Restaurant (CRC) is located in the Chinese Recreation Club, and over the decades has remained as one of the best Chinese restaurants in Penang.

Across Pangkor Road (Jalan Pangkor) from the clubhouse of Chinese Recreation Club (CRC) is its flagship restaurant, CRC Chinese Restaurant (美丽华鱼翅海鲜酒家). This restaurant shares the same building as North Malaya Cheah Si Chong Soo (北马谢氏宗祠).
