Another famous fried oyster omellete in Penang nestled in Heng Huat Cafe. The crispy yet chewy fried omelette with the fresh and plump oysters make the dish a wonderful delight.

Back in 2014, Kafe Heng Huat was pretty high on the radar list for it's local authentic style of Char Koay Teow. Their in-house Char Koay Teow was claimed as one of the best in town, frequently patronized by tourists.

However with only one meal to spare in Penang we decided to visit Kafe Heng Huat and try out the famous Sister's Char Koay Teow. The Char Koay Teow cost a whopping RM9 and took 30 minutes but it was well worth it.

The taste was almost the same as what I had 4 years ago. The wok hei (a type of fried dough) was still there. A regular plate with an egg cost RM16, included two large prawns, and was stir-fried with lard—very fragrant.

To be honest, I've eaten here at least 10 times, and I feel the taste has declined significantly compared to before. But I'll still come back to eat (I'm from Kuala Lumpur). I got takeout today, and it's still delicious.

Charcoal char koay teow must try. I came here early, they open at 9am sharp. Customers already seated and waiting. I ordered the RM16, there’s 6 big prawns. The taste is amazing even though the chef is next generation.

Very consistent quality of fried (Char) Koay Teow in Penang. I have been back to this stall multiple times and the quality is very consistent. It is a bit pricey now compared to a few years ago but the size of prawns explained why.

I've had so many Penang char kway teows, but this is the first time I've had one so greasy it's glistening. 😂 The "Little Red Riding Hood Char Kway Teow" lived up to its name, glistening with oil.

Honestly, I don't know if the food was authentic, but the taste was to my liking. Although the small portion cost RM13, the two large prawns, plenty of pork lard and sausage slices made it worth the price.

Don’t find it tasty like last time 😅 It’s nothing special, overpriced, overrated, too oily, no wok-hei and no cockles (si-ham) at all. Too pricey RM 16/plate with chinese sausage (lap-cheong), 4pcs of big prawns , egg and pork lard only.

I went to another restaurant and the food was all pretty good. The taste was just average, but the service was terrible. I had a child serve me, and the child was incredibly arrogant, shoving the food down and leaving with his money.

Can you tell which plate has kueh teow (rice noodles)? 🤣🤣 The portion wasn't large, but the taste was okay. We ordered a plate for RM13, which included two prawns, Chinese sausage, and an egg.

Just a novelty with ahma in red samsui woman cap frying kway teow. Don't find it tasty, as there are no cockles and I'm still a fan of the black kway teow.

This is a well-known char koay teow stall. The plate of char koay teow comes with two big prawns. The prawns are huge and fresh. But I don't think the char koay teow is great.
