Have you ever seen koay teow soup with lemon? Never in our existence will we think of such a thing, of course, our first verdict and response to this is defiance but we still want to check it out and tell you about it.

The inspiration of having lemon in Koay Teow Soup might not be new in Penang mainland but this is the first one in the Island. As far as we are aware, the only kopitiam in the Island that sells Lemon Koay Teow Soup is located at Kafe Kam 88 in a Bayan Baru neighbourhood.

Koay Teow Th'ng may be a common Penang fare, what about Lemon Koay Teow Th'ng? One of the frequently visited coffee houses by the local factory workers nearby the area will be Kafe Kam 88; a real hidden gem in the serene neighborhood.

Koay Teow Soup with lemon is unique and to be exact, awkward. However, once try before it is very refreshing and flavourful. Besides the lemon add-on, there is the option of adding bitter gourd also.
