Although the owner named their shop as Fish jelly, they don't serve jelly fish but Yong Tau Foo instead. Like any other Yong Tau Foo, they do have varieties of fish ball based ingredients and crispy stuff for you to pick.

Kampar Fish Jelly ? No idea why it was named Fish Jelly. The place sells Yong Tau Foo (酿豆腐 stuffed bean curd) where it refers to ingredients to be stuffed with meat paste of fish and pork.

What is “Kampar Fish Jelly”? Well everyone will presume something sweet. Actually it is Yong Tau Foo, which is mostly found in Kampar, Ipoh and KL.

Locals may genuinely enjoy a plate of mouthwatering yong tau foo at Restoran Kampar’s yong tau fu. Served straight from the wok, this restaurant’s Hakka-style Yong Tau Foo is unquestionably famous.

You queue up to choose your noodles either dry or soup and then pick your preferred fish balls and stuffed tofu, which they will set aside separately for you. The soup base is on the lighter side.

The soup is very salty. Most of the waiters and waitress are foreigners who don't understand local language and English. I asked them whether they have fried garlic or not. They didn't response and walked out.

Why when dine in & online order its complete with chicken. When takeaway its empty, only dry tofu & long beans? This is not the first time they missed out shredded chicken. It’s disappointing ☹️. Follow the same standard every time pls.

I was quite disappointed with the service. The older staff member didn't ask for permission or inform us before seating other customers with us. I believe it's basic courtesy to ask the customers first before arranging for others to sitar…

Price increase by double, however portion decreases. Minced meat and ingredients on noodle reduced to the minimum that I barely felt eating any meat or bean sprouts. Cashier with zero service mannerism

Cheap and good food, tasty springy noodles with fragrant lard minced pork sauce. Love the variety of veges stuffed with fish paste (hence the fish jelly). Soup is light and not oily, so good and healthy

Fish Jelly is a definite must-visit! The prices are even more reasonable than Kampar. I didn't know Penang had a place like this... If it were closer to home, I'd come here often.

I went there after years. Food still good and price is okay. RM1.20 for normal pieces. The only thing is using single use chopsticks and cups, will be better if can avoid single use utensils.
