We ate many delicious things in Penang, but this bowl of duck koay chap from Restoran Kimberly was one of the most inspiring. It’s astonishing how much work goes into it. The Por family has been lovingly preparing by hand, from scratch, for over 30 years.

There are only a handful of koay chap stalls in Penang, and perhaps the most popular among them is the one by Kimberly Street in Georgetown that operates in the evenings till late (just by the chicken feet stall ).

Restoran Kimberly has been serving the same duck kway chap noodles for over 3 decades now.
According to this article , the noodles are still made in-house using the family recipes, and that’s why their kuay chap remains so delicious.
