Interesting Hakka Restaurant to try. We had their signature 'Lui Cha' which is a sort of vegetable based rice with a grounded leafy paste. Most would not like it but it is a very common staple to the Hakka clan.

I came specifically to eat Hakka Lei Cha Rice, but it turned out to be a four-person serving, which I couldn't finish by myself, so I gave up. In the end, I ordered Mapo Tofu with white rice, which was pretty good.

The Tofu Village was quite a find. Was taken here for dinner by a Penang local. The cod fish with garlic and chilli was fresh and fragrant. We also ordered the claypot chicken with fungus, and Hakka rice wine chicken.

Wanna go there to try the lei cha but too bad it is for 4pax,I don't think I can finish all. In the end order suan pan zi, set lunch, chicken soup that i forget take photo.

My second attempt wasn't much better... The rice portions were too small; the medium and small portions were the same size, no difference. I ordered the three-cup chicken, and the meat was really bad... The chicken wasn't very fresh either.

We walked in for early dinner and were fortunate to be attended to a table rather quickly. A lot of tables were reserved. Our order didn't take too long to prepare, except the more complicated Lychee Prawn.

Had a really pleasant dinner here. Dishes were comforting and well-executed. Absolutely loved the 黄酒艾草炒蛋 (would be nice to have more 艾草 in the dish), and also the 酿豆腐 (tofu was especially fragrant and full of flavour).
