One such place for me was Wai Kei Cafe . They have the best Char Siew in Penang - and probably in the whole of Malaysia.
Wai Kei is a corner kopitiam on Chulia Street.

One of my favorite stall would be the one located on the ground floor of Sky Hotel on Chulia Street which is known for its high number of budget hotels and small cafes.

Wai Kei Cafe (GPS: 5.41892, 100.33526) is a coffee shop at the junction of Chulia Street with Jalan Masjid in George Town, Penang . It has a very popular stall selling roasted pork rice, the Wai Kei Char Siew Rice Statll.

Wai Kei Cafe is actually similar to a kopitiam in Singapore. You’ll enter, find a seat and order the food. Just that at Wai Kei Cafe, the only stall seems to be the roasted meat stall.
