The short version
Makan Sifu does not use cookies, does not run third-party advertising, and
does not sell or share your data. You can browse the site without an
account.
What we collect
Two services collect anonymous, aggregate data so we can keep the site
fast and fix errors:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cookieless. Counts page views
and approximate geography (country level) at the edge. No cross-site
tracking, no individual profiles.
- Sentry. Records technical error details (browser, page,
stack trace) when something on the site crashes. No personally
identifying information is attached.
Saved venues, if you use that feature, live only in your browser’s
local storage. They are never sent to a server.
If you write to us
Mail sent to [email protected] is routed to a personal Gmail inbox. We keep your message and reply from
there. We do not add you to any list.
PDPA (Malaysia)
Makan Sifu is operated from Malaysia and processes personal data under the
Personal Data Protection Act 2010 where applicable. Because the site does
not collect personal data beyond what is described above, the practical
scope is limited to any email you choose to send us. You may ask us to
delete that email by replying with the request.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect
data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change anything material on this page, the "Last updated" date at
the top changes too. Questions go to [email protected].
