This porridge shop is tucked beneath a residential flat. I believe this shop has been operating for decades. The space has aged well. What makes this shop truly special is the way the porridge is cooked over charcoal.

One of the few remaining traditional oyster porridges in Penang, highly recommended! You can choose to add extra ingredients like shark meat, pork intestines, braised eggs, fried dough sticks, pork belly, and pork skin.

Nostalgic - charcoal boiled - hidden gem A store that I have regularly visited since decades ago when they were just a small stall till now having two shop lots. Their oyster porridge has stayed true to the roots all these years.

Porridge was well cooked. The biggest problem was the ingredients. I purposely add on for more ingredients but end up it hardly noticing any meat inside or any oyster slices. RM7.50 per serving of extra ingredients was totally unacceptable.

My personal conclusion is can try if you never been to. It is so so and average rating in my opinion. Taste wise i think is a little bit too salty. The porridge ingredients were good. Just to remind this is not cantonese style porridge.

Hidden gem. A lot of customers and many are seen for their take aways. Price is reasonable. Good food & friendly staffs and boss. I agree this is one of the best dried oyster porridge in Penang town.

Honestly, the porridge is awesome. The price is also unbelievably reasonable too. Ordered one large one (extra porridge and ingredients) with kopi peng, and one egg, only Rm12.10.
