The flavors are very traditional; the egg tarts and coconut tarts are on the sweeter side. I also tried the sachima and all three types of tarts. If you really like the traditional buttery flavor, you should like this place.

This will be the best egg tarts we have tried in Ipoh, run by an old uncle and consistently having a queue. We took a grab all the way to try this out and was not disappointed, the uncle is very friendly and recommended to us.

HK egg tart has a flaky, buttery crust and rich, creamy custard filling without the eggy taste. While it is popular, I tend to favour his 'kai so' (chicken pie). Same crust is used for the pie.

A fifty-plus-year business with a reputation for Ipoh’s best “daan tatt” (egg tart). The brittle and fluffy crust is the best part, while the perfectly textured egg custard, soft and moist, could be less sweet.

Booked via Whatsapp. The egg tarts and Sachima are too sweet for everyone at home. Both have great texture—especially the Sachima, which is soft and fluffy.

One of the best egg tart (RM2.40 per piece) I ever tasted in Malaysia (Ipoh). Fresh from oven. Very friendly uncle. They also sell Char Siew Sou (RM2.60) and large traditional Walnut biscuits (four pieces for RM8.20).
