Overall, I find the poached chicken quite decent at Sam Ma, but still slightly lacking compared to the one at Cowan Street.

Many reviews recommended this as the latest hot spot for Ipoh bean sprout chicken, so I decided to give it a try. Luckily, there was a lovely parking space right outside during lunchtime, and I didn't have to queue to get in.

There were so many people! You really need to go early if you want to eat there, otherwise you'll have to wait a long time. The chicken was really delicious. I'll definitely go again next time I'm in town.

San Ma serves a good bean sprout chicken meal. Both types of chicken are tender and delicious and the sauce for the chicken and bean sprouts are not too oily or salty. We had the meal with horfun soup.

On the way from Singapore to Penang, we stopped at this shop to try the chicken rice. The food was very nice and definitely worth a visit when coming to Ipoh.
