Tak ramai orang luar yang tahu tentang restoran Nasi Kandar Ali, tapi penduduk tempatan di sekitar Bukit Mertajam sanggup beratur seawal selepas subuh untuk makan di kedai nasi kandar berstatus lejen ni — bukan sebab terkenal tapi sebab dah ada sejak 1948.

Is it worth crossing the bridge and head all the way to Bukit Mertajam for Nasi Kandar? YES, because Ali is very special. First of all, this guy has been dishing up the same fiery, silky Nasi Kandar in this spot since 1948.

Overall, it's delicious. Small portions, delicious and tasty. The 'negro' chicken is delicious, the menu is killer here. The water is just standard. Rice + squid egg + cabbage vegetables + tea o = RM10.

A very good place to have your lunch and take out. But many rude customer try to 'chop' the seat and table even though they didn't order yet. Please respect other customer, not just you wanna eat there.
