There are a lot of nasi kandar spots in George Town , Penang. We went to the oldest one— Hameediyah Restaurant —which has been in operation since 1907. There may be better nasi kandar spots out there but we decided to try it at Hameediyah because of its history.

Bagi Kekny Nasi Kandar Hameediyah ni special kat kuah. Rasa kuah dia tak bau rempah yang kuat, sebaliknya bau sedap dan harum. Dan rasa rempah tu memang boleh rasa dia pakai rempah ratus yang elok.

Hameediyah Restaurant has been my family’s favorite go-to for curries and murtabak since my grandfather’s time. Taste Penang’s legendary Indian Muslim curries and the murtabak made with the same recipes since 1907.

One of the culinary highlights in Penang and our first nasi kandar experience. There are a variety of dishes that get constantly refilled given the volume of dishes ordered.

Food was good but I don't think they are fair on charging the food. I was given 1 prawn (not even big one), and only 1.. but they charge me rm10 to that, sotong/squid 1 medium and some litte head given to me they charge rm10 as well..

Legendary Nasi Kandar restaurant in penang. Restaurant well maintained, clean and systematic. The curry mix which is the heart of Nasi Kandar was below my expectation. Was not flavorful enough. Fried chicken 👍

The lamb is extremely tender and soft. Seafood is delicious. Long queues are normal in Penang, so please be patient. The queue is worth it for the delicious menu.
