A familiar taste in George Town. Prices have gone up, and portions aren't as big as before, but it's still great to order several dishes. The crab had a touch of French elegance. The steamed egg was still soft and tender.

Came here to try Boey Choon Kee Restaurant since it is famous for being the oldest in town. We ordered the stewed ginger duck, fish fillet sweet and sour, fried egg with shark fin, and broccoli with garlic.

Cash only. Since it's Cantonese cuisine, the light flavor allows you to taste the subtle ingredients, making it easy to eat. The menu is extensive and very delicious. They serve tea at the start and offer refills.

A nostalgic place hidden in the busy city. The kitchen is run by three experienced chefs who cook with care, so please be patient if the wait is a bit long. This is a nice place for simple, home style food.

I’ve been coming to Boey Teong Ki since I was born, 24 years and counting! No joke, this place has been a constant in my life. The food here is consistently amazing flavourful, comforting, and cooked with heart.

Hidden in one of Penang’s first-ever built public flats, Beoy Chong Kee is a name that’s been around for ages, proudly waving the Cantonese cuisine.

A humble non air-cond restaurant serving 古早味 home cooking styled Cantonese “ju-char”. Portion is not very generous so we ended up ordering 5 dishes for 4 of us which turned out to be just nice. Star of the dish was the ginger scallion beef.

Named after its founder, Boey Chong Kee has been serving comforting Cantonese-style cuisine at this very spot in People’s Court since the 1960s. Today, his granddaughters continue the legacy, keeping this old-school restaurant alive.

It has a traditional, old-fashioned flavor. The food tastes better than any of the trendy restaurants around here. It's rare to get to eat stir-fried pork liver like this anymore.

Same place, but the taste has changed 🙂 If no wind, a little warmth... the waiting time is still so long.
