Kok Hoe handles the stall in Pulau Tikus where only lemak laksa and otak-otak are served. Lemak Laksa is a bowl of ultra fragrant, creamy laksa garnished with cucumber, pineapple, fresh mint leaves, torch ginger bud and shrimp paste.

Granny Q Penang Lemak Laksa is a family-run hawker stall in Pulau Tikus in Georgetown that specialises in Lemak Laksa. Unlike Penang’s more well-known sour and tangy assam laksa, Laksa Lemak features a rich and spicy coconut milk-infused…

A cross between Assam and Curry Laksa, this Lemak Laksa was bloody delicious. First time encountering this dish and the uncle serving was so friendly and informative. We couldn’t resist and bought some laksa paste to take home.

Granny Q Lemak Laksa in Pulau Tikus is built around a single idea: one family recipe, cooked with care, and served without fuss. The result is a coconut-based laksa lemak that many visitors rank among the best they’ve eaten in Penang.

Honestly, I didn’t expect a small stall tucked inside a kopitiam to even have its own Google Business page—but that’s exactly how I discovered Granny Q Lemak Laksa.

Best Laksa in Malaysia 🇲🇾 To start with this is definitely the best Laksa perhaps in whole Malaysia. The broth was super tasty and perfect texture. Superior to other tourist traps.

Tried the Lemak Laksa as well as the Otah. Otah was like a steamed egg with otah flavour. Smooth in texture and not overly spicy. Otah had fish inside as well.

It is located inside a hawker (food court). We ordered Penang Lemak Laksa (Medium size for MYR 9.50) and Otak-otak (MYR 5). Both were delicious. The laksa noodle texture was different with normal laksa in Indonesia, kinda loved it.

Superbly fragrant, rich yet not cloying Lemak Laksa. There are mint leaves, and pineapple chunks inside that keep each bite fresh. Slightly sweet, coconut-ty laksa soup with a nice hint of spicy.

The bowls are slightly different from Penang laksa; they have a touch of coconut milk added, giving it a Nyonya style. It doesn't have the strong fish and sourness of traditional Penang laksa, and it has a hint of coconut milk flavor.

Dropped by for takeaway on a quiet Tuesday morning before the drive back to KL. This is, hands down, one of the finest Lemak Laksa (often called Thai Laksa) in Penang - richly aromatic, balanced, and deeply satisfying.

Very fragrance the lemak Laksa. It is not spicy which make eating the Laksa very pleasant as you won't have burning stomach after that. The otak otak is very good as well. Price is reasonable.

This is the best laksa I've had, ever. I especially enjoyed the rich flavors of lemongrass, tamarind, and coconut milk. The price of 8.5 RM is unfathomable given the quality. What makes this place even more special is the chef, Hing.

It is not often that food touches your soul. This particular bowl of Laksa did just that today for me. From the moment I walked into this unassuming establishment, I felt the heart warmth of the owner.
