Got myself a mentaiko shio pan and a salted caramel latte to try. The shio pan was firmer than expected and the surprise was the melted butter inside. Not sure why the cream inside the beignet is not as dark coloured as the topping.

Many regular patrons here is after their freshly baked croissants, typically available in the morning after the shop opens. I sample their classic croissant and it checked all the boxes - flaky texture, crusty edge, airy and soft interior,…

I found Kwason Boulangerie on Google Maps while searching for cafés within walking distance from the cruise terminal. After picking up food gifts from Ghee Hiang, we walked further down Beach Street and that’s where we found Kwason.

Came here due to the outstanding review but ended up slightly dissapointed. The choc shio pans are quite decent but nowhere near the originals in tokyo or the viral one in seoul (which i think tastes the best) in term of texture and taste.

Overall love this place, freshly bake, crispy texture and wide selection of pastries. However, there were too many of pastries Cafe in town, making it hard to decide which one deserve a 5 stars.

The caramel latte is very good. However, I'm disappointed with the pistachio croissant. It's not very filled, and you can't taste the pistachio at all…
