I made a reservation ahead of time through WhatsApp, relatively easy experience. The restaurant is situated in a residential estate along the main road, possibly a private property revamped into a restaurant.

I love Peranakan food - it is a much underestimated cuisine. Really enjoyed my meal at Winn’s. We had the Assam fish which was succulent and tangy. Kapitan Chicken which had a gentle spiciness that grew on you.

Food was fantastic and authentic representation of nyonya cuisine featuring several iconic dishes such as Kapitan Chicken and Petai (stink beans, but these are delicious). Nestled in a traditional looking house.

We were so glad we visited this restaurant which was recommended by our driver. I was blown away by the Jiu Hu Char, with deep, slow-building umami that is comforting yet refined, unfolding gently with each bite.
