This humble little stall is run by the sweetest, most friendly lady — truly such a kind and warm auntie. She sells Hokkien mee (which we KL people call prawn mee), and honestly, it’s worth travelling for, even if you’re a tourist.

August 25, 2020 This was my first time here and I thought the chicken feet and rice dumplings were worth trying; they were quite tasty. The Hokkien mee was a bit disappointing.

The menu’s got plenty of ingredients to choose from. She makes the broth with shrimp shells, shrimp heads, and pork bones, so it’s fresh, sweet, rich, and smells amazing. It looks super red, but it’s not as spicy as it seems .

One of my favorite hokkien mee place, a simple bowl of prawn broth noodles. They have lobak and otak otak too. Price is reasonable and portion is typical Penang portion. Not a very big place and the parking can be a bit of a challenge too.

A small shop under the flat, nicely decorated and not humid much even during lunch. Food taste good, gravy is moderate, those big eater please call large portion. The shop sell hokkien mee and home made dumpling.

I’ve been a regular customer and truly enjoy the food here — the taste has always been consistently good. However, I recently noticed that the shop changed from reusable spoons and chopsticks to disposable plastic ones.

The Hokkien Mee has a rich, flavorful broth with a nice balance of sweetness and spice. Portions are decent and I really like the braised eggs and pork intestine. Parking can be a bit tricky.

One of my preferable hokkien noodle spots in penang area. The quality is consistently good since I had their first bowl in 2020 after recommended by my friend. The broth is thick with full of prawn umami. Delicious!
