The best char koay kak in Penang. Cooked over a wood fire, this is as traditional as you can get. Second generation stall started by the current owner’s mother, this hawker cart has been around for decades.

Paid RM7 for the duck egg Char Koay Kak. I liked that it was spicy and there were crispy bits inside. They use wood fire to cook it, so you know she’s been doing this for a while. The aunty was really sweet too.

Very good char kway kak cooked by an auntie still using firewood. Very generous with the bean sprouts. Good wok hei and the chilli has a nice heat. Go for the duck egg.
