Tucked on the side of Bee Hooi cafe, I found this Char Hor Fun stall ran by old lady behind the stove and younger one helped her, just opened on one afternoon.

Went for lunch at this kopitiam along Burma Road. Ordered the bitter gourd soup meehoon, simple and taste okay. There are a few other stalls e.g char kuey teow, wantan mee, yam rice, Sabah-style mee soup, prawn mee and etc.

October 25 last time was nearly 2 decades ago 1) popiah ... pretty tasteless, packed with jicama and not much else ... sitting in some sweet fluid ... does nothing for me (2*s) 2) moachi ... soft and tasty with the crushed peanuts ...

Finally get to try this Oh-Chien! The stall owner said they usually open Thurs-Sun, only at night and normally close before 9pm. The oyster is super fresh and I like my Oh-Chien to be a little sticky. Love this!

We tried the pork ($10) and chicken ($15) satay plus fried KT ($8) over here, and they were fantastic!!! Natural and simple! Unpretentious! A quintessential retro style! Full of nostalgia! A quaint, old-fashioned town!

Duck Egg Xhar Kuey Tiew is very delicious (Wok Hei). Fried Oyster is yummy as the oyster are big. Chicken porridge is nice to warm your tummy. Pohpiah also is a must try as well. Satay was ok.

These are food I ordered. Fried Kuay Teow, Chat Hor Fun, Po Piah and Lor Mee. All these are great food yummy and I like the Wok Qi.
