BM Yam Rice Kopitiam, a family-run yam rice (or pui) restaurant is probably the best known eatery in Bukit Mertajam. It is tucked away down a narrow street in one corner of the town where parking is very difficult.

Delicious, great service and only choose whether you want spare parts or plain jane like me - Pork slices, pork ball. Great service, even gave me a soup top up without me asking. RM 11.50 for the set The salted vege soup is full of flavour!

Authentic taste of Yam Rice, local favourite taste . Soup booth taste good, meat ball and pork belly slide taste good. When visit BM it us a place must go.

这家在本地还是有些名气的，坦白说我试了以后觉得水平还好，一碗mix的价格13块，看起来料满满的，但是都是内脏比较多，如果不怎么爱吃内脏就别叫mix的，因为肉还是太少了主要是猪内脏。用餐环境比较乡土气息，

Usually order takeaway for their yam rice, as parking is quite difficult to find and the restaurant can feel a bit warm and crowded. The dish comes with a generous variety of ingredients, paired with a rich and flavourful soup.

The yam rice is not bad. Could have been better if fried shallots and dried shrimp are included. Sour soup is not bad, but with that serving of mix item soup plus yam rice at Rm14.50, it is a bit overpriced.
