Chee Meng Cafe is located at Argyll Road and they only serve 1 stall Wan Tan Mee. According to the owner, the noodles are handmade fresh each day and they are usually sold out by noon.

For those know us well, Wantan Mee is our favorite noodle. It was one weekend morning when we stumbled upon Chee Meng Cafe (GPS: 5.42129,100.33118 ) at Argyill Road , George Town, Penang.

Breakfast on a Sunday morning was Wantan Mee at Chee Meng Cafe located in Jalan Dato Koyah. This stall, which was previously located in Tai Wah Cafe in Jalan Argyll, has it’s regular customers coming back for more of the noodles in this new location.

One of my top favourite Wantan Mee recently reopened but only for Friday to Sunday 7 am till finished/ 2 pm. The taste of the white WTM still is my favourite but the Wantan taste is changed.

This wonton noodle stall has a history of over 40 years and represents the traditional flavors of "Old Penang". White Wantan Mee is the most famous dish.

It wasn’t in the plan to visit. I walked by (to go to another restaurant) it seeing many people queueing there so be curious of what they made so I had a try on the way back to my hotel. Best wonton noodle I’ve ever had.

Wan tan mee is located at the typical Penang Georgetown street. The noodles is very fine and likely Hong Kong style. There is wan tan mee with roasted pork and very likely Hong Kong style. The Wan Tan is full of meat and worth for price

I recommend this wonton noodle shop. They use their own special seasoning, not dark soy sauce. I ordered the roast pork wonton noodles; the noodles were springy, the roast pork was crispy, and the flavor was just right.
