Known humbly by locals as Chowrasta Pork Intestine Porridge, this stall dates back to our parent’s generation. If you ask them, they’ll tell you this is indeed one of the best stalls in Penang for delicious Pork Intestine Porridge.

This fried pork intestine congee stall was established in 1974. I've been following it for over a decade, and it's been a "congee" I've fondly remembered ever since my first bite. Back then, the congee here was a perfect 100 for me.

A must-visit morning market in Georgetown. The traditional fried pork intestine porridge is a must! Sitting in the coffee shop across the street, they'll send your porridge over. You'll want to ask for more next time you visit Penang.

For RM10, the portion size is a bit small. A proper restaurant's oyster noodles, with several fresh oysters and shrimp, also only costs RM12. However, it's worth a try. The added toppings taste somewhat like pork cracklings.

Worth a try if it’s your first visit. No queue on weekday mornings before 8:30am. If you’re taking a Grab, set the destination to Kedai Kopi Baru — the stall is located right in front of the coffeeshop.

Simply overrated. Not worth the price, the taste, the portion. RM10 for a so called 'big' bowl is kinda pricey. Can go for a try if you happened to be around and don't know what to eat.

Someone showed me a seat. Two bowls of rice porridge with roast pork and fried intestines cost RM27, which was quite expensive. The taste was average.

Famous mixed pork intestine stall, they will serve the dish to you if you dine in. Do note that they can't serve you at the coffee shop behind the stall, you need to walk down to the food centre beside the coffee shop instead.

Try the non-halal porridge, guys. It's sold in the market and comes from a cart. The taste is okay. But the crunchy bits can get a bit tough when mixed with the porridge. The portion is quite generous.
