Kedai Kopi 1997 (1997咖啡店) is a hawker center at Paya Terubong, just across the main road from Te Chang You Tiao Wang (特长油条王). At night, the place is converted to a seafood restaurant called Leong Hee Seafood (龙禧海鲜小馆).

I was told by the locals this business has been around for decades actually, popular with their catering services, the food became very good and ppl go to their restaurant to dine instead. We ordered 5 dishes. 1.

The dishes paired well with rice. Don’t expect the finesse of a high-end Chinese restaurant—then again, the prices reflect that. We had what they called steamed fish, though it was more like a Thai-style boiled version.

Grateful that my parents and I went to Penang Long Xi Seafood Hawker Shop yesterday! The stir-fried sweet potato leaves and the signature curry fish head were still rich and flavorful, perfect with rice.

Beware of being ripped off! I made a reservation via WhatsApp a week in advance for the New Year period, and they told me I could decide on the menu on the day of the event.

The food is delicious, with great color, aroma, and flavor! 👍👍👍 My favorite is the signature curry, a must-order every time I go. The owner and staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The restaurant is air-conditioned.
