Delicious mee udang hidden gem at Mee Udang Ba-B Lian. The taste of it is flavourful & mid-way between Hokkien Char & classic Malay version of Mee Udang.

If you like the Patam Mee Udang style of prawn noodles, I'm sure you will like this shop also. It is so fresh, so packed with punch, really gave me a gastronomical rush. I almost literally licked all the plates dry.

It's located in a house. Expect some waiting time as it's prepared by the chef himself from scratch. The broth is thick & flavourful. You can taste the sweetness & savoury from the seafood. Ingredients used are very fresh.

Their mee udang goreng taste better than their soup mee udang. But overall both lacks some oomph in my opinion... personally I prefer Malay style mee udang, taste more kaw.

This is my second time eating here. It's a very homey place, like eating at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is delicious. The portions are quite large, cooked well, and the taste hasn't changed since the first time.

The owner is very nice. The environment is cool and refreshing. The best prawn noodles in Penang! (In all of Malaysia) I spent five months traveling all over Malaysia, and I really couldn't find prawn noodles this delicious.

So it's true as per earlier reviewer. It is delicious. Gravy just enough thickness, sweetness, close to chili crab type of gravy. Seafoods obviously fresh due to the location of the place. Fishing industry. Owner is pleasant.

The sauce taste is great! Reminds me of the sauce that comes with the red sauce crab with a bit of curry taste. The prawns were huge and fresh. The portion of the noodles is quite big. The place has a homely feel.

We order a prawns & crab combination noodle. The portion is sufficient for 2 small eaters. The taste is just nice and the gravy is thick, not too spicy. Loves it.
