Siong Ho fish head meehun is located within Village Coffee Shop at Weld Quay, just a couple hundred meters from the jetty, and actually quite near to where my late grandma’s place where I spent a big chunk of my childhood.

Dine in 16 Sep 2025. Ordered fresh fish fillet bee hoon RM 12, keropok ikan RM3. The fish soup was great, flavourful fish stock, splash aromatic of fried garlic with veggies, slices of fresh fish fillets and bee hoon. Very well done.

It's delicious, but parking is difficult. You have to cross a busy road, which is a bit dangerous. Regarding the food, I personally think the clear broth is better than the Tom Yam soup. It uses grouper.

The food is still really good, and my personal favorite is the tomyam with Cintan Mee — it’s the perfect match! 😋 If you’re a fish lover, the fried fish head and fried fish are an absolute must-try.

It has a very authentic, traditional Minnan flavor, even better than what you find in Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Quanzhou today. The fish head rice noodles in clear broth are especially good. The owner is a friendly young man.

I only ate there because I was passing by, so I had no expectations, but I was still very disappointed. The soup was tasteless, and the fried fish head was just bones and skin with no meat; I couldn't eat it at all.

The fish head rice noodles weren't amazing, but worth a try. The fresh fish was just average. I recommend the fried shrimp rolls! There will be two chickens wandering around; be careful if you're afraid of birds/chickens.

The tom yum wasn't too spicy, the fried fish didn't have a fishy smell, and the noodles were chewy. The price was reasonable, but it got very hot in the afternoon.
