Yi Bing Qing is a big name when it comes to steamboat restaurant in Penang, the well-established steamboat restaurant is known to serve some of the best Teo Chew styled Fish Head Hot Pot in town.

Yi Bing Qing is truly one of a kind. In a time where most steamboat places have gone fully electric, they still stick to the traditional charcoal method — and you can absolutely taste the difference.

The concept is interesting, especially the charcoal steamboat, which adds a nice smoky touch. However, the milk base slightly overpowers the soup’s original flavour, making it less balanced than expected.

This is my first time trying this traditional steamboat. The flow is fast cuz you need to eat all the food really quick hahaha or else the soup will dry due to the heat.

Food was okay. There are very little fresh meat options, more of those processed meatballs. There is no fish head inside the pot. The condiment/sauce area needs a better clean up.

Came here on a rainy evening and this place was just what we needed. Delicious charcoal steamboat! Broth is flavourful and not oily, ingredients are fresh. Great for a family meal. Will be back for more.

Super delicious fish head hot pot! The fish soup base is fresh, sweet, and delicious. You absolutely must order the fried fish head! It's delicious eaten alone or with the soup. I'll definitely come back to Bincheng!
