One of Penang’s best breakfast joints is the stand-alone Wantan Mee House at 321 Burmah Road, Pulau Tikus. To the locals, it’s the Wantan Mee (WTM) opposite the Balai (Pulau Tikus Police Station) While Penang boasts numerous Wantan mee…

There are many Wan Ton Mee joints/ stalls around but not many are as crowded and packed as Wan Ton Mee House, at Pulau Tikus. Wan Ton Mee House started with a humble beginning- as one of the hawker stalls housed in one of the coffee shops…

The pasar's forecourt feels like a shared pantry tipped onto the street. By night the market frontage tightens into a lane of lok lok tables, noodle stalls and drifting satay smoke.

Dates: 27/02/26 to 02/03/26 Just Assam Laksa only Healthy food, all fresh Very delicious 😋😋, flavorful 😋, not spicy, not salty, not sour, not oily. Perfect. I've already eaten it several times. Mostly ordered by GrabFood.

Hmmm... when I came here I forgot to take photos of the carts selling it, and some of the food wasn't in the photos... 1. The fried kwetiaw is just ordinary... 2. The peanut ice is just ordinary 3.

Everytime we visit Penang we must come for the lok lok here. The satay sauce isn't bad if slightly diluted. Service is prompt & attentive but you come here for the food not the ambience.

Don't simply be seated. You must order from their stall. Leng chi kang was bland and Loh hon koh was tasteless and full of syrup. Stir fried hokkien mee was bland and oddly, serve with char siew instead of pork slices.

Located next to the market this row of evening stalls serve an array of Penang hawkers food. The Assam laksa was superbly good as I like the clear broth type. Siamese laksa is flavourful with generous toppings of garnishes.

Came here to try the Asam Laksa. Big portion, won't say is excellent but can give it a try. Place very dirty and don't bother order any drink from drink store. One of the worse handmade drink I have ever drank especially in Penang.

We had fry ying yong, char kuey teow, sotong kangkung and leng chee kang soup. It was great disappointment. Pale food, small portion, taste bland. Not much choices of other street food market.

Love this sit down style of lok2. Pay for what you eat. Lots of choices and opens from around 5-10pm. Very reasonable prices around RM2.50/stick. Highly recommended!

A good variety here, with my favourites being the lok-lok, curry mee, char koay teow and leng chee kang dessert! 🍡

Avoid the porridge stall at all cost. Both old couple quarrelled with each other in front of customer lol
