A humble setup tucked in Kimberley Street, Chok Kee has quite a bit of history, hence explain the simple, rundown shophouse. They have quite a bit of offering for porridge.

Return more than 50 times to eat here It’s more like comfort food to be Chee chap chok(猪杂粥） Generous ingredients, the Charcoal dried deep fried intestine, char siok(叉烧） and other organs are fresh to me.

I don’t usually go for this dish, but for porridge lovers, this is easily one of the best you can get. Personally, I’m not big on organ meats, but the crispy intestines were surprisingly acceptable to me.

Very cantonese style of porridge; not too watery, not too thick, just the right amount of gooey-nest. They Fried their intestine to 'medium rare', which is the only way I would eat it.

Now, this is a traditional family stall with tasty porridge. Hence, don't expect restaurant service. The porridge has been passed on for generations and is one of the best in Penang.

maybe i came at 1230. Left with only intestine porridge. The deep fried intestine was not crispy , and some were burnt. Porridge nothing to shout about. As per some reviews, the peanut porridge and century egg porridge was good.

Came at about 8.40am on a weekday. There was plenty of space to sit. I came with the pig’s blood in mind but was most impressed by the porridge itself, which was really tasty, I think with the fragrance mostly coming from the crispy fried…

The 猪肠粥 quite a big bowl with quite some internal parts but just that the congee is not smooth enough and I prefer another stall 烧肠。No complaints.
