A hidden seafood restaurant in Batu Kawan surrounded by palm plantation which is located not far from the Penang Second Bridge. It has two dining area: air-conditional indoor and fresh-air outdoor. Plenty of car parks and dining tables.

Batu Kawan in Penang is known for its cheap and tasty seafood eateries. Ah Yen Seafood Restaurant is one of them. When I was there in April, I spied five Singaporean cars parked in the compound.

Next time u are at Ikea for shopping, be sure to save your stomach for yummy fresh seafood meal nearby at Ah Yen's Seafood. Mango kerabu lots of ingredients: dried prawns, dried crispy fish, cashew nuts, fresh and appetising.

Depending on where you are, this can be a hard place to get to. It's a little off the beaten path. They have an air con area within the building to eat in as well as a non air con area outside to dine in. They serve uncomplicated dishes.

It has been more than a decade since my last visit, and I must say, the transformation is quite obvious. What used to be a humble roadside hut has now grown into a proper concrete restaurant.

A typical chinese restaurant serving seafood dishes. Portions were rather decent but taste wise, is rather lacking. Over flavoured with sauce and other condiments which overpowered the original flavour of the seafood.

Portion was big like wedding dinner especially chicken…crunchy chicken and taste good with the sauce…their seafood tofu was good also…for bitter gourd I prefer runny egg type

The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the staff were very friendly. Their signature tofu is particularly noteworthy; you'll definitely want to eat it again and again.
